On Mountain View, Maleny

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Fiona and Steve decided a surprise was the way to go, and to tell only a few of their closest friends. Everyone else thought tthey were going to an engagement party, until they were informed it was in fact a wedding celebration. Shock horror, tears, and smiles. A very different wedding in more ways than one!

Hi Penny,

I can’t believe there were photos up so soon! Thank you for your beautiful work – I look at some of those images and really wonder if it’s in fact me!!! You’ve captured the special moments in ways that will help keep the memories etched in everyone’s minds for many years to come…including the surprise reactions!!! (So good to see those images!!!)  I don’t even remember seeing you take lots of the photos! Truly professional!
 With gratitude…Fiona

Classic Car Rides, Maleny

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Jacqueline and Paul are embarking on a new business venture here in Maleny. They are busy putting together promotional amd marketing material for their company, ‘Classsic Car Rides’. We went on a photo shoot for one of their cars, a beautiful Graham Paige, which will be in great demand with wedding couples. Our afternoon took in some of the prime wedding venues in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland – The little White Wedding Church, The House of Laurels, Clovelly Estate and Flaxton Gardens. Look out for their website in the near future.

Solothurn, Maleny for a chapel wedding

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Mike and Lauren are locals here in Maleny, and chose the  delightful Solothurn Chapel for their ceremony as well as the reception. It was a very happy day with plenty of laughter.

Thanks so much for working with us – we really enjoyed it!  You’re a legend.  Love this photo and look forward to seeing the rest of your handywork.

P.S. Mike says thanks for making his face look so good!

A wet wedding in Maleny

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Ben and Larissa had high hopes of wonderful location shots in a few of the choice locations around Maleny, but the weather was against them and it poured for much of the day. Fortunately the owners of Maleny Lodge came to their aid, and we were able to spend time enjoying the inside of their beautiful Queenslander, with the log fire roaring, and the champagne flowing, a potential disaster was averted.

We are in Ecuador and checking out the wedding photos – love them! Look forward to getting them all when we return in May – we will let you know when we are back!                        Thanks for the great memories Ben and Larissa

Ceremony at Mary Cairncross Park

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Kirstian and Melissa decided to have thier ceremony out in the open, amongst the trees of Mary Cairncross Park, rather a gamble with the wet weather Maleny has been subject to, but it paid off. The ceremony took place in the dry, and it remained so until we were in the paddock overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains. It was here we eventually had to make a run for the cars as the heavens opened and the rain came down yet again.

Weddings at The House of Laurels, The Little White Wedding Church and The Big Fig Tree

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Time has run away with me again, and we are now in the middle of February – Valentine’s Day just around the corner. The Christmas period is normally fairly quiet where weddings are concerned, but not so this year. I haven’t even had time to get my Christmas letter out! Here are a few of the favourite weddings I was fortunate enough to play a part in.

Unfortunately the ceremony never took place under the Fig Tree as planned, due to torrential rain – but we went back later and took these photos.

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Daniel and Phillipa married in Phillipa’s parents property, with beautiful views towards the Sunshine Coast. Their children could have stolen the show, by they were no match for their handsome parents.

“Hi Penny, I want to say a very big thankyou , I have looked at the photos on your website and they are wonderful thanks for all your help and for taking such beautiful photos” .

Troy and Amy 31.10.2009

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Troy and Amy began their day at Coolum beach for a ceremony overlooking the crystal blue seas. Then it was a race up the Blackall Range to get to the Glasshouse Mountains paddock to catch the last of the sun’s rays. Finally we headed for Clois for the reception. No hanging around for these two!

Thank you for the beautiful pictures I can tell we are going to have trouble deciding which ones to use.”
