PMA – The Photo Marketing Association held their annual show in Sydney at the end of June, and I made the most of this fabulous pool of information and ideas. There were stands from every imaginable business connected to the photographic industry as well as seminars on a number of useful topics for the professional photographer. I spent a few days immersed in photography - looking at the latest trends and equipment – talking to the experts – listening to the gurus and viewing the awe inspiring photographs entered in the competitions. I came away with my head brimming with ideas, invigorated and raring to go!  I also decided I had to think seriously about buying that latest camera…..

Melanie Harris of Eva Lilly’s Couture is in the process of having a stunning catalogue and website designed to showcase her fabulous designer outfits. We spent the day photographing beautiful model Rae in a variety of outfits, using the lakeside grounds of a private residence in Maleny to provide us with an endless choice of fabulous backdrops for a very enjoyable – if slightlychilly – fashion shoot.

I have been fortunate to photograph some wonderful couples recently. The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is a stunning place to choose for a wedding day, with a huge range of venues. Living in Maleny I have a wealth of  knowledge of wedding venues as well as beautiful locations for the bridal party photo shoots.  Brides can get confused in choosing  wedding suppliers, and I am more than happy give recommendations on those suppliers with whom I have full confidence.  I have chosen three very different weddings to showcase this month – from a quiet  discreet wedding in the rainforest, to the award winning Maleny Manor and finally to the excitement of the coast – enjoy.

Max’s baby sister Jolie is a beautiful little cherub, and I take great enjoyment photographing her. I will continue documenting her progress, and then record these fabulous first few months of her life in a beautiful digital photo album.
