The Maleny Wood Expo is almost upon us again - an excellent opportunity to buy from the many talented local craftsmen we have on The Range. The dates are 2nd and 3rd May 2009, the Labour Day weekend. Unfortunately the weather and lack of time has conspired against me and I will not have an Exhibition this year. However, this photograph will be one of the raffle prizes given out.

Fern is due to give Max a baby sister, and I hope to follow the progress of Jolie when she spends her first few months in this world.

It is always a pleasure to attend a wedding at Maleny Manor, and this wedding was no exception. With a great sense of humour, Andrew and Margie made sure they had some photos with a difference, from Margie’s flashy welly boots to Andrew’s working hat. Bouquet’s were thrown, and Andrew was heaved above the heads of the guests. It was a great wedding.

Simon and Lynette 21st March 2009

Simon and Lynette had wonderful dreams of marrying on the beach at sunrise – an early start for all! Unfortunately, instead of golden hues, a storm raged, and the sun kept away. Undaunted, the ceremony took place on a balcony by which time the rain had stopped and we were able to get really atmospheric shots on the beach. Even the clouds surrounding the Glasshouse Mountains had drifted away by the time we arrived on The Range.

How sensible to have an elopement, in a beautiful environment, just the two of you and no relatives to upset you. That is just what Nick and Jennie did. Secrets on the Lake, Montville provided an ideal location, with the rainforest and lake to provide stunning backdrops to their wedding photos. Congratulations to the both of you.

Troy and Amy aren’t getting married until October, but they chose to have an early shoot, which will not only make them more relaxed in front of the camera on their wedding day, but they will also have photos to use for their wedding invitations.
