Welcome to the world, Ruby. Congratulations to Mum and Dad. She is a beautiful addition to the family.

Just before Christmas the Outridges and I had a fun time wandering around their beautiful home at Maleny, taking photos and meeting the livestock – from rats to bulls. Following this, an album has been designed to provide a moment in time for the family.

Time has run away with me again, and we are now in the middle of February – Valentine’s Day just around the corner. The Christmas period is normally fairly quiet where weddings are concerned, but not so this year. I haven’t even had time to get my Christmas letter out! Here are a few of the favourite weddings I was fortunate enough to play a part in.
GRAEME AND KATE: THE HOUSE OF LAURELS

STUART AND LAURA
Unfortunately the ceremony never took place under the Fig Tree as planned, due to torrential rain – but we went back later and took these photos.

DAVID AND CHRISTINA: THE LITTLE WHITE WEDDING CHURCH & THE KEY BAR

Highlight of the current year, clearly, was being placed as a top finalist by the Bridal Industry awards. I would like to say another very big and very sincere thank you to all my lovely brides for nominating me.
A nice surprise is seeing the increasing number of publications around Australia that have carried examples of my work. In no particular order, the following come to mind – and where better for a quiet brag than my blog?
Good Weekend, (inserted The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age and read by over 1.7 million Australians); Maleny’s own The Range News; The Sunshine Coast Daily; Sunday Mail; The Hinterland Times and the Hinterland Tourism Guide (both cover shots); Salt Magazine, Coast Magazine and a few others.
And look out for Earth, Dreams and Magic due for publication early next year!
2010 is looming and already many weddings are filling up the calendar, including one I’m especially excited about that is being held in a former palace in Europe! And naturally, with both feet firmly on the ground, I’m also very much looking forward to weddings closer to home at Maleny Manor, House of Laurels and the Little White Wedding Chapel, to mention just three of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s top wedding venues.
Signing off now for the Christmas break and wishing all my wonderful clients, brides and grooms a peaceful and happy festive season and a prosperous NewYear.
Daniel and Phillipa married in Phillipa’s parents property, with beautiful views towards the Sunshine Coast. Their children could have stolen the show, by they were no match for their handsome parents.
“Hi Penny, I want to say a very big thankyou , I have looked at the photos on your website and they are wonderful thanks for all your help and for taking such beautiful photos” .

Troy and Amy began their day at Coolum beach for a ceremony overlooking the crystal blue seas. Then it was a race up the Blackall Range to get to the Glasshouse Mountains paddock to catch the last of the sun’s rays. Finally we headed for Clois for the reception. No hanging around for these two!

This was a real beach wedding set at Marcoola. The day was glorious, the couple delightful. Everything was just right…
“Thank you so so very much Penny!
They are amazing!!!! Now the problem is which to choose!
Thank you so very much for everything, we both really appreciate it! Thanks again for beautiful shots!”

Tom and Marnie exchanged their vows on Marnie’s beautiful private property. Hay bales, parasols and horses lent a relaxed rural feeling. The delicious food was prepared by a local restaurant, Pomodoras on Coral.
“Just wanted to email and say a huge thank-you for all your effort and enthusiasm on the wedding day. We are only just back and so I have only had a quick look at the website, but the photos look just gorgeous. And I am so pleased that there are photos of all our guests! Great memories.
I just wanted to let you know that the photos arrived safe and sound. They are so gorgeously presented and packaged – thank you! I also wanted to tell you again what a fantastic job you did and how much we appreciated you just going with the flow and fitting in seamlessly. The end results are just gorgeous!
Thanks again for all your help on (and before!) our big day”.

Greg and laura are amongst the first couples to marry in the Little White Wedding Church, Maleny. It is bound to become one of the leading wedding venues here in Maleny, as well it should.

Tim and Kate chose Michel Chalets, Maleny for their wedding venue. A beautiful, peaceful place to have your wedding. We had some very interesting photo opportunities, many centered around the attire of the Groom and his Groomsman!
“We have just been having a very very big laugh at the photos. I think you have captured us amazingly…given what you had to work with! You have done a great job on the photos, thank you very much for that. It was nice to come back from our first day of work to find them. It really put a smile on our faces. We both want to say we really enjoyed the photoshoot and the effort you put in going along with the madness”.
