Meet Mara the Elephant – she has just arrived in Maleny and will accompany me on my various photographic assignments – so you will see more of her in the future. As you may have gathered I love elephants!

www.sheldrickwildlife.org is one of my favourite websites, have a look and you will see why. Daphne Sheldrick was the first person to successfully hand rear orphaned elephants and she has managed to do this for over 130 baby elephants.

Please watch this clip and you will see why I am so in awe of the Sheldrick Wildlife trust. It is the story of Olare.
